Results of the open call for Feminist Projects of May 2019
The Bulgarian Fund for Women has the pleasure to announce the results of the Feminist Projects Call for Proposals. The project proposals were evaluated in terms of a number of criteria, among which: the thematic priorities of the Call; partnership with other organizations; significance of the problem; realism of the set goals, aims and activities; budget, sustainability of the results, etc.
Out of 36 organizations that have applied individually, 11 project proposals were approved, with a total funding of 52 814.5 лв.

The Evaluation Committee consisted of external experts and by BFW’s Board and the team members.
External experts:
Stanislava Ivkova – has a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Sofia University. For more than 20 years she has successfully worked as a copyrighter and creative director in advertising. Through the years she has created successful communication campaigns for different social causes and organizations such as UNICEF, SOS KInderdorf, BFW. Mentor in the first and lecturer in the second edition of See It Be It Bulgaria, a program of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Besides leading strong creative teams she has also raised two children and published a novel entitled “Coast”.
Mariya-Elena Kisyova – a former administrator in the Council of Europe, Departments “Combating Gender Based Violence” and a student of International Relations and Diplomacy at Leuven University
BFW’s Board Members :
Denitsa Lyuncheva – a lawyer, a member of the Sofia Bar Association, with more than 15 years of experience in the field of information security, personal data protection, contract law, labor law, civil law and process, administrative law and process, dispute resolution and organizational counseling. She has many years of experience as Chief Legal Adviser and expert at the Social Partnership Council at the Ministry of Interior.

Thanks to all who have applied with their projects in this call. We will contact the organizations approved for receiving grants to inform them about the next steps in signing the contracts.
BFW does not have the opportunity to send personalized feedback to the organizations which applied but were not granted funding in this call but we wish them success and are expecting their project proposals for some of our next open calls
