Apply for BFW’s “Feminist Boot Camp”

What?
The Feminist Boot Camp is an intensive four-day seminar, where participants will be introduced to the feminist and gender theories and notions, with the history of women movements and the contemporary issues of gender inequality and human rights. The camp’s focus is to create a safe space for girls and women to meet, exchange ideas and experience, establish partnerships and to develop a project on the topics of the event, which will be backed financially and expertly by the BFW.

Upon completion, the participants, alone or together, will have the opportunity to apply with a detailed project based on her ideas, for funding amounting of 1000 to 5000 BGN, provided by the BFW.

How?

In order to be part of the Feminist Boot Camp, you need to be 18 – 35 y.o., to define yourself as feminist or be interested in the topic, and to have four spare days in May.

Preference will be given to the applications of women from minorities, of women with disabilities, LBT women and transgender people.

All lectures and workshops will be held in Bulgarian.

 

When?

The call is open from the 10th April to 5th May 2017.

The results from the selection will be announced on the 8th March.

The camp will take place on 15 – 18 May, 2017 in Lozen, Sofia District.

Important:

All transport, accommodation, food and participation expenses for the camp will be covered by the Bulgarian Fund for Women.
