Rada Elenkova

Program Director
Rada Elenakova has been part of the Bulgarian Fund for Women (BFW) team since 2021 as Program Director. With over 16 years of professional experience in advancing and protecting women’s rights, she is dedicated to achieving structural social change. At BFW, she actively works on introducing feminist philanthropic models and approaches aimed at improving donor practices, democratic participation, and the sustainability of the civil society sector in Bulgaria.

Her expertise includes gender-based violence, access to justice for vulnerable groups, and sexual and reproductive rights. She is the author of numerous studies and reports and has served as a consultant for the Council of Europe’s JUSTROM programme (2017–2021).

Rada holds a degree in English Philology and a Master’s in the History of Women and Gender from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is also pursuing a specialization in the Matilda Programme at the University of Nottingham, England.
