What?
The Feminist Incubator “FEMPOWER” is one-week educational program, which gives employees and volunteers in NGOs the opportunity to receive theoretical knowledge about gender equality, history of women’s right and feminism, gender and media stereotypes as well as practical skills for fundraising, event management, lobbying, leadership, etc.
After having graduated the Feminist Incubator each participant together with their organization will have the possibility to develop a project, dedicated to gender equality and women’s rights. The Bulgarian Fund for Women will support the implementation of one of the projects with the sum of 5000 BGN.
How?
In order to participate in the Feminist Incubator “FEMPOWER” you need to be of legal age and for the time being to be either employee or volunteer in an NGO.
Advantage will have applications of NGOs, working for roma women’s rights, women with disabilities or the LGBT community, as well as organizations that have been involved with projects, educating young people about gender equality and human rights.
When?
The competition is ongoing from 11 January 2016 to 28 February 2016.
On 21 March 2016, the participants in the program will be announced, after the team and the board of trustees of Bulgarian Fund for Women have evaluated all applications.
The feminist incubator will take place from 9 to 15 April 2016 in Lozen, Sofia Province.
The participants will have the opportunity to develop and submit their projects until 30 May 2016 and on 20 June 2016 the Bulgarian Fund for Women will announce the results and the winning project, which will be supported with the sum of 5000 BGN.
Important!
All travel, accommodation and participation expenses shall be undertaken by the Bulgarian Fund for Women. This project is being executed with the financial support of filia.diefrauenstiftung.

- Your resume
- Cover letter, explaining why do you want to participate in the Feminist Incubator FEMPOWER (1 page)
- Description of the NGO that you work for (1 page)
- Certificate that you are a current employee or a volunteer in the organization, that you are going to present, signed and sealed from the Chief Executive
