On the eve of the 25 November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women the Bulgarian Fund for Women has the pleasure to announce the winners of its call for projects against violence against women.
The evaluation criteria included administrative and thematic compliance to the call requirements, capacity and potential of the candidates to execute the project, objectivity of the proposed activities and budget. The jury consisted of representatives of the BFW – Gergana Kutseva and Mira Dobreva, and of BCause – Penka Tsvetkova and Lyudmila Atanasova.
The call’s total budget amounted at 40 000 leva. Taking into account the volume and quality of the received projects, as well as the importance of the cause and the limited financing opportunities, BFW has taken the decision to allocate further 3598 leva to reward 9 projects.
On the 25th November at the American Corner of the Municipal Library we will mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with a discussion about the good partnerships between the business and the organizations in the fight against violence against women. During the event we will announce officially the winners and we would be honored to have them join us.
We would like to express our gratitude to all participants. We will not be able to reach all participating organizations but we are looking forward to their projects in our future calls.
The call is supported by the International Women’s Club of Sofia, Sigrid Rausing Trust, DSK bank and individual sponsors.
